PROJECT OVERVIEW

M/s MNI Investment Limited as the owner intended to build a luxurious 5-star hotel in Business Bay, Dubai. The owner has chosen SO by Sofitel to be the brand for this hotel. Both are seeking an avant-garde and fashionable experience with an artsy and social atmosphere, where contrasting creative views from trendsetters create the place. Travelers from all around the world will experi- ence the sparkling energy of the place. A place that reflects the vision of SO brand that is defined by the ultimate lifestyle hotels that are both playful and luxurious, or what SO calls Rebellious Luxury.

The main consultant shares with both MNI and SO their passion and vision. The project will be managed by the well-known project management firm (Turner & Townsend).

The 5 senses

It is through our senses that we perceive the world around us and build memories. All the ingredi- ents of the design should awaken the senses of the guests, such as scent, textures, colour, music, etc. From the moment the guests enter the lobby, to the moment they leave it with their minds full of unforgettable memories. We believe that insightful story telling throughout all aspects of the hotel is paramount to delivering an immersive and memorable guest experience. The hotel arrival plays a big part in the guest’s experience as everything relies on this first impression and first connection to the destination.

The Hotel

The hotel is located in Business Bay, on a corner plot, facing Al Mustaqbal street on the NW direc- tion and Al Marasi street on the SW direction. It will accommodate a number of high-end ameni- ties such as:

– a luxurious 930sqm ballroom and pre-function, that would be used for hosting events and meetings

– a top of the tier business and executive lounge with meeting rooms that have a mod- ern and contemporary design with an informal yet sophisticated look

– world-class numbers of F&Bs

– 370 guest rooms that offer the guests a private place to rest, work and relax in an unex- pected yet reassuring space

– 15m high ground floor mixo lobby which is a an oasis of social life with a very special at- mosphere.

– a state of the art fitness center equipped with the latest fitness technology and exercise trends

pools and deck featuring a relaxing design for the guests well-being
– a cigar lounge that pitches itself as a relaxing retreat for the connoisseur to unwind

All works will be in strict compliance (whether shown in documents or not) with the applicable sections of the latest Codes & Standards, design guides issued by the Regulatory bodies and agencies listed below.
However, the hierarchy will be such that local authority codes and regulations have priority overapplicable international codes and standards. This is necessary primarily to obtain local authority approvals, wherever mandatory. We will implement regulations adopted by respective local authorities based on our project specific discussions with them.
