Creating a new social hub and heart for the community, Shanghai World Trade Center Phase III delivers a vibrant urban village integrated into the pulse of the existing neighbourhood. Composed of two modern towers rising above a commercial podium of diverse programs and amenities, and a low-rise apartment hotel reminiscent of a wooden box, the project creates a dynamic realm offering dining, entertainment, work, and lifestyle destinations all walkable and complementary to its surroundings.

The project creates a delicate composition of terraced forms connected to the pedestrian experience. Wanderers emerging from the adjacent Olympic Aquatic Centre will discover the gentle upward crescendo of orthogonal gardens and plazas adorning the natural textures of its architecture. Woven together by a series of walkways and public perches emerging across the complex’s levels, providing a pedestrian- scaled destination that offers an expanse of opportunities for social interaction and urban connectivity. While creating a series of summits that allow guests to emotionally and visually connect with the surrounding landscape, the project will also establish a highly tangible contribution to its community, integrating new public amenities such as community meeting spaces, child care programs, and plentiful green space and water connections, all amidst its collection of retail and offices.
Shanghai WTC delivers a vibrant urban village integrated into the pulse of the existing neighborhood. Composed of two modern office towers rising above a commercial podium of diverse programs and amenities, and a low-rise apartment hotel reminiscent of a wooden box, the project creates a dynamic destination. The offerings include entertainment, work, and lifestyle destinations all walkable and complementary to their surroundings. At the heart of the project, a 3-story interior atrium opens onto an exterior garden plaza, offering spaces for musical events, art exhibitions, community celebrations, and commercial presentations, drawing in visitors from the street to explore the urban village within.
Designed to enhance the social experience, the central interior plaza contributes a community hub unavailable within the surrounding area. Differentiated from its existing neighbors, this vibrant gathering space is defined by three major urban flows from the media city and stadium side, Parcel 14, and Parcel 6. The central interior plaza visually and physically connects the variety of programs from retail, F&B, fitness center, and offices, merging the public experience within a naturally-lit, fritted-glass atrium space that opens onto the outdoor garden courtyard that celebrates the four seasons.
Shanghai World Trade Center draws guests from the street level, upward, as public roof gardens and terraces ascend alongside multi-level restaurants overlooking the outdoor event plaza and surrounding neighborhood. At L03, a public roof terrace will be shared by the fitness center, offices, and F&B as a space of outdoor relaxation and activity. Just a level above at L04, a private garden terrace delivers an additional amenity for the apartment-hotel. Atop the office towers, a sky garden and restaurant within a double-storey space delivers expansive city views amidst natural light and landscape, as a peaceful getaway and rest space during the office workday.
