Code of conduct
An award is worth only as much as people trust it. This code sets out what we expect from entrants, jurors and our own team, so that every entry is evaluated on its merit alone. It applies from registration until the results are announced, and to the use of any title afterwards.
Last updated 15 October 2026
Entrants
- Enter honestly. Enter only work your firm designed, give your true firm size and founding year, and credit everyone who contributed.
- Keep entries anonymous. No firm name, logo, signature or other identifying mark on the images or the description, and no hints that point to your firm.
- Leave the jury alone. Do not contact any juror about your entry, directly or through anyone else, from registration until the winners are announced.
- Respect other people’s rights. Submit only material you have the right to use, with the agreement of your photographer and your client.
- Keep it professional. No offensive, defamatory or hateful material in any entry.
Jurors
- Evaluate every entry on the published criteria, alongside entries from practices of a similar size, and nothing else.
- Declare any connection with an entry: your own practice, a former employer or employee, a family member, a client or a collaborator. A juror with a connection does not evaluate that entry.
- Keep entries, scores and discussions confidential, before and after the results.
- Do not try to identify an entrant, and tell us if you recognise one.
Our team
- Treat every entrant the same, whatever their size or the number of entries they make.
- Keep entrants’ identities from the jury, and partners and sponsors out of the evaluation.
- Answer questions fairly and in the order they arrive.
Respect
We expect courtesy in every exchange with entrants, jurors and our team, online and in writing. Harassment, threats or abuse lead to the end of the conversation and may lead to disqualification.
Using the title
- Use the exact title you won, with its year and category, as set out in the badge kit.
- Shortlisted entries are “shortlisted”, never “winners” or “award-winning”.
- Do not alter the seal or apply it to work that did not win.
If the code is broken
We may disqualify an entry at any stage without refund, withdraw a title already announced, and bar a firm from future editions. Deliberate interference with the awards, such as false entries, fake identities or attempts to break into the site, may also be reported to the authorities. A juror who breaks the code steps down from the jury. To report a concern, write to info@indiaarchitectureawards.com. We treat every report in confidence.
