Privacy policy
We collect only what we need to run the awards, use it only for that, and never sell it. This policy explains what we collect, why, who sees it and how to reach us. It follows India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Who we are
The India Architecture Awards are run by Wesearch Lab, 2A Labanya Apartment, 174/A SN Banerjee Road, Barrackpore, West Bengal – 700120. We decide how your personal data is used, and we answer for it. You can reach us at info@indiaarchitectureawards.com.
What we collect
| When | What |
|---|---|
| You register | Your firm’s name, size, address, founding year (Emerging Firm entries only), website and GSTIN if you give them; your name, designation, email and mobile number |
| You pay | The amount, date and payment reference. Card, UPI and bank details go straight to our payment partner, Razorpay, and never reach us |
| You submit | Project details, images, descriptions, video links and the credits for your team, collaborators, client and photographer |
| You sign up for updates | Your email address |
| You use the site | Pages you visit and actions you take here, recorded by the Meta Pixel only if you choose All cookies |
Why we use it
- To register your entries, take payment and send your GST invoice.
- To run the evaluation, and to publish the shortlist and winners with their credits.
- To email you about your entries: confirmations, reminders before deadlines, the shortlist and the results.
- To send news about the awards. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To keep the site secure and, if you choose All cookies, to measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram and show them to people who have visited this site.
Who sees it
- The jury sees your work under an entry number, never your firm’s name or your details.
- The public sees the entries we publish, with the credits you gave us.
- Our service providers process data for us under contract: Razorpay for payments and BigRock for hosting. We run our own email.
- Meta, only if you choose All cookies. The Meta Pixel tells Meta which pages you visit here, so we can measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram and show them to people who have visited this site.
- Authorities, only when the law requires it.
- A new organiser, if the awards ever pass to another organisation. This policy would still apply to your data.
We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share it with partners or sponsors.
How long we keep it
- Registration and contact details: until you ask us to delete.
- Invoices and payment records: as long as tax law requires.
- Shortlisted and winning entries: permanently, in our public archive.
- Entries that are not shortlisted: permanently, in the unpublished archive.
- Newsletter address: until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask for a summary of the data we hold about you, have it corrected or completed, have it erased where we no longer need it, and withdraw any consent you gave. You can also name someone to act for you.
News emails stop as soon as you unsubscribe. Emails about an entry you have paid for, such as deadline reminders and results, continue until the edition ends.
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable care to protect the data you give us. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
Under 18s
The awards and this site are for practising professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Cookies
See Cookie settings for the cookies we use and how to change your choice.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with its date, and email registered entrants about any significant change.
